East Springfield

John is proud to represent a portion of the East Springfield neighborhood. This diverse neighborhood includes both industrial, commercial, and residential areas.

Biomass

As a representative of East Springfield residents, Councilor Lysak was proud to stand as the earliest and strongest opponent to the proposed Biomass Incinerator in East Springfield.

John reiterated time and time again the neighborhoods concerns regarding the proposed incinerator, and stated repeatedly that the health and well being of his constituents was the most important issue to him.

John worked with his fellow City Councilors to revoke the special permit for the facility, effectively stopping construction, and was successful.
